2026Anniversary Photoshoot in Prague: Ideas for Celebrating Your Years Together
Wedding photos capture a beginning. Anniversary photos capture something rarer — proof that it worked. Some of the most moving sessions I shoot in Prague are couples marking five, fifteen or fifty years: less nervous than newlyweds, more practiced at holding each other, laughing at jokes I never hear the start of. If an anniversary trip brought you here, consider giving an hour of it to the camera.

Ideas that give the session a story
- Recreate the first date. Coffee somewhere grand, a walk, a bench — we restage your actual history against Prague’s backdrop. Bring an old photo and we’ll echo its pose.
- A quiet vow renewal. No officiant needed: a folded paper each, the Vyšehrad ramparts at golden hour, and two minutes of words. I keep my distance and a long lens.
- The “still us” session. No concept, just a golden-hour walk through Lesser Town holding hands — the anniversary edition of date night.
- Milestone props, lightly. The original wedding bouquet recreated, champagne on Kampa’s riverbank, or the year’s number in sparklers at blue hour. One prop, used once, beats ten.

Routes by mood
Romantic-classic: Charles Bridge at sunrise, then breakfast — the empty-bridge photos feel like the city showed up for your anniversary. Elegant: Vrtba Garden’s baroque terraces, dressed up. Sentimental: the places from your first Prague trip together, re-walked. Celebratory: golden hour on Letná with wine and the city below — see my guide to Prague’s best light to pick your hour.
A word to the camera-shy partner
Every anniversary session includes one person who was talked into it. To that person: there will be no cheek-to-cheek forced smiles, no “now dip her.” We walk, you talk, I photograph the conversation. The favorite frames are always the unposed ones — usually of the exact moment you forgot I was there.
Making it a gift
An anniversary session gift-wraps well: I provide vouchers, and spouses regularly book a “surprise” session where the giftee finds out at breakfast. The gallery arrives in a private online link — details in the FAQ, prices here. However many years you’re marking, Prague and I will make them look good.
