What the light does in May
Full spring: gardens open, terraces fill, and sunset pushes past 20:30 — Prague’s most comfortable long-light month.
Photographer’s notes
Dawn shoots get demanding (5 am starts) but reward with empty streets in soft light. The baroque gardens under Prague Castle are at their absolute best; evening sessions can run until nearly 21:00.
Golden hour is roughly the first hour after sunrise and the last before sunset; blue hour — the city-lights-on-deep-blue-sky window — runs about 25–40 minutes after sunset.
