What the light does in October
Peak autumn color — and the clock change in late October pulls sunset abruptly back before 17:00.
Photographer’s notes
Early October offers fiery foliage in the parks with sunset near 18:15; after the switch, plan sessions earlier in the day. Letná, Stromovka and the Vrtba Garden are at their most photogenic.
Golden hour is roughly the first hour after sunrise and the last before sunset; blue hour — the city-lights-on-deep-blue-sky window — runs about 25–40 minutes after sunset.
