2026Prague Honeymoon Photoshoot: Ideas for Newlyweds in the City of Spires
The wedding is over, the planning spreadsheets are deleted, and for the first time in months nobody needs anything from you. That state — relaxed, in love, slightly amazed you pulled it off — photographs better than any wedding day. It’s why honeymoon sessions in Prague have become one of my favorite things to shoot.

Why a honeymoon shoot beats wedding-day portraits
On a wedding day, portraits get twenty rushed minutes between ceremony and dinner. On honeymoon, we have all the time and none of the schedule. You’re rested, the dress code is yours, and the photos capture the marriage rather than the event. Many couples bring the wedding attire for a “second wear” session — others come as themselves, which I love even more.
Ideas that work beautifully
- The sunrise icon session. Charles Bridge and Old Town at dawn, empty and golden — the classic for a reason.
- The café crawl. Prague’s grand cafés — marble, chandeliers, morning light through tall windows — make relaxed, filmic photos between sips.
- The picnic session. Golden hour on Letná or Riegrovy Sady with a blanket, a bottle of Moravian wine and the city glowing below.
- The vintage tram or river row. Renting a rowboat by Slovanský Island or timing a historic tram adds motion and playfulness to the gallery.
- The blue-hour walk. Lamplit lanes after sunset, the castle illuminated above — Prague’s most romantic hour, and almost nobody books it.

A relaxed sample route
Late afternoon start on Kampa Island, wander the Čertovka canal, cross the Charles Bridge as the lamps flicker on, finish with blue hour on the Old Town riverbank — then I point you to a wine bar and disappear. Two hours, zero rush, one gallery that looks like a film about your honeymoon.
Small practical notes
Pack one dressier outfit and comfortable shoes for the cobblestones; bring the rings for detail shots; and if you married recently, tell me your first-dance song — I keep it in mind more than you’d think when pacing a session. Photos are delivered in a private online gallery, ready to share before the honeymoon tan fades — details in the FAQ and prices here.
