2022Prague Valentine’s Day Tour with Photographer
February is the quietest month in Prague, and that is exactly why it is the best month to be photographed here as a couple. The bridge is empty, the light is soft all day, the cafés are warm, and for once the city feels like it belongs to the two of you rather than to a tour group.
Why February works
Summer in Prague means sharing the Charles Bridge with several thousand people. In the middle of February you can stand in the same spot at ten in the morning with almost nobody in the frame. The sun stays low all day, so there is no harsh midday light to work around, and the whole afternoon behaves like golden hour.
It is cold, usually somewhere between zero and five degrees, and that is the trade. A good coat, gloves you can pull off quickly, and a warm drink halfway through make an hour outside genuinely pleasant. If it snows, everything I just said gets better.

Prices and booking
The Valentine’s session is a one-hour romantic walk through the old city. If you want more time or more locations, the standard couple sessions below are the same photography with a longer route. Prices are charged in Czech crowns; the euro figures are approximate.

Prague Valentine’s Day session
1 hour
The classic. Old Town Square, the Charles Bridge and the riverbank, at whichever hour has the best light that day.

Prague Valentine’s Day session
1.5 hours
Adds Kampa Island, the Certovka canal and the Lesser Town lanes, with time to stop for a warm drink halfway.

Prague Valentine’s Day session
2 hours
Both banks without rushing: the Old Town, the bridge at its quietest, Kampa and an outfit change if you want one.

Prague Valentine’s Day session
2.5 hours
The full walk up to the castle district and the viewpoints, finishing at blue hour over the river.
Every session is private, with editing and a private online gallery included. Add flowers below and they arrive with me on the day.

Daily basic flower bouquet
A fresh seasonal bouquet, collected the morning of your session and handed to you at the meeting point. It goes into your photographs and then home with you.
Prices come straight from the shop, so what you see here is always what you pay at the checkout. Booking takes a minute and I confirm the time and meeting point within a day.
Where we go on Valentine’s week
What to wear in February
Whatever you would actually be happy wearing for an hour outside. Long wool coats photograph beautifully and keep the cold out; camel, cream, burgundy and deep green all sit well against grey stone. One strong colour between the two of you — a red coat, a scarf — gives the frames a centre. Flat shoes for the cobbles, and gloves you can slip off for the hand and ring pictures.
The full guide is here: what to wear, season by season.
Making a day of it
Valentine’s Day is not a Czech tradition — the local day for lovers is the first of May, when couples queue to kiss under the blossom at the Mácha statue on Petřín. That means restaurants are busy on 14 February but the city is not, and a session followed by a long lunch is an easy day to plan.
If the session is a surprise, or if there is a ring involved, say so when you book. I photograph proposals regularly and the plan is different: I arrive before you, stay invisible, and the couple session begins the moment she says yes. See proposal photography and the proposal planner.

Questions
How much is a Valentine’s photoshoot?
The one-hour session is 5 500 CZK, roughly €220. Longer couple sessions run from 7 500 CZK. The prices on this page are pulled from the shop, so they are always current.
When should I book?
The week around 14 February fills first, and sunrise slots go earliest. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable; for the weekend closest to Valentine’s Day, earlier.
What if it rains or snows?
Snow is a gift and we shoot it. Heavy rain we move, at no cost, to another time in your stay.
How many photos do we get, and when?
Around 35 edited photographs from an hour, in a private online gallery. The first few arrive within a couple of days and the full gallery within about two weeks.
Can I give it as a present?
Yes — buy it as a voucher and your partner picks the date. It arrives by email, or as a printed card by post.
