2026Spring Blossom Photoshoot in Prague: Catching the Two Magic Weeks
Prague · Seasonal · The Blossom Window
Two weeks of falling petals
Every April, Prague performs its shortest and prettiest show: the blossoms. Cherry, apple and magnolia trees ignite across the city’s hills for roughly two weeks — and couples who time it right get photos that look staged by a florist. Timing is everything, so here is the local knowledge.

When exactly do the blossoms peak?
In a typical year: magnolias open in early April, cherries follow mid-month, and the apple orchards of Petřín close the season around the month’s end. The full spectacle usually lands between April 10 and 25, shifting a week either way with the weather. My spring couples book a date in that window and we stay flexible by a day or two — chasing petals is part of the service.
The best blossom locations
- Petřín Hill orchards: the icon — slopes of white and pink with the whole city below. Sunrise visits dodge the influencer rush.
- Vyšehrad’s cherry alley: quieter, older trees, castle walls behind — my personal favorite.
- Kampa & the riverbanks: blossoms over water, swans included at no charge.
- Střešovice & villa quarters: magnolia-lined streets nobody photographs; editorial and empty.
What to wear among the trees
Blossoms are pastel, so let them lead: cream, soft blue, sage and blush harmonize; strong reds and neon fight the petals. Flowing dresses earn their keep here more than anywhere — the orchard paths were made for movement. And bring an early-morning layer: April sunshine is honest but its mornings are not.
Catch the window
Blossom-watch updates, flexible dates and the orchards at first light — spring’s best two weeks, kept.
