2026Stromovka Park Photoshoot: A Forest Escape Inside Prague

A forest, hiding in the city
Some couples see my Prague portfolio and ask a surprising question: “can we do the photos in nature instead?” They expect a day trip; they get Stromovka — a former royal hunting ground the size of a small forest, ten minutes from the center, complete with ponds, meadows, ancient trees and herons who consider themselves residents. Nature-session photos, city-session logistics.

The park’s best chapters
- The ponds: still water mirroring willows and sky — reflection frames at dawn are pure calm.
- The meadows: open grass with tree-lined edges; picnic-blanket sessions live here, golden hour turns them luminous.
- The old alleys: centuries-old tree avenues forming green tunnels — cathedral light in leaf form.
- The Rudolf water channel: a renaissance emperor’s engineering, now a romantic streamside path.
Who Stromovka suits
Families with energetic children (room to run is infinite and traffic-free), couples wanting a soft, green gallery instead of architecture, dog owners (paradise, frankly), and anyone marking spring or autumn — the park performs both seasons spectacularly, blossom and gold. It is also the city’s most stroller-friendly serious green space; three generations roll through it easily.
Seasonal notes
April floods the park with blossom and wild garlic green; June means deep shade for hot days; October is the show — the alleys turn amber for two glorious weeks; and after snowfall the park becomes narnia with herons. Every season books; October books first.
Go green
Ponds, meadows and centuries of trees — the nature session that never left the city.
